Best known for his captivating and thought provoking paintings, Wakyli is fascinated by the Human Being’s ability to transcend beyond the limitations of the mind and his quest for Truth.
Trained as a molecular biologist, he sees the world through a scientific lens and finds deep joy in a microscopic analysis of the fabric of reality. He is an explorer of the great mysteries of Universal creation and aims at deepening his understanding of Self and his interaction with the Whole.
By studying human behaviours and emotions, Wakyli focuses his work on the journey into a deep state of contemplation. Through oil painting and immersive installations, the worlds created are for the mind and the heart to explore freely the landscapes of our inner being. He believes that certain wisdoms can only be experienced.
Self-Taught, he started his painting journey in 2016 and created his first show in summer 2021, Internal Journey, an immersive solo exhibition showcasing over 70 pieces in a multi-sensory container exploring introspection and inner peace.
Wakyli designs his experiences as transformational stepping stones for awakening our inquisitive nature towards self-discovery, self-realization and to stimulate curiosity about what lies hidden and beyond the naked eye. Ultimately, his work explores new and creative ways to trigger an emotional response for the integration of the greatest wisdoms.
